Jeffrey Rosensweig, associate professor of finance

Goizueta Business School hosted its annual “Alumni Referral Breakfast with Jeffrey Rosensweig” on April 10, 2013. Associate Professor of Finance, Jeffrey Rosensweig delivered an insightful and engaging talk entitled “Global and US Economic Trends and How They Impact You” to a group of Goizueta alumni and their invited guests of prospective students.

The event provided a great opportunity for prospective students to gain an introduction to the level of world-class academics and expert faculty that a Goizueta education affords. Rosensweig is not only a dynamic professor in the classroom, but he is often sought after by national media outlets to comment on current news matters relating to finance. As the Director of Goizueta’ s Global Perspectives Program, Rosensweig was able to readily speak about Goizueta’s progressive position in teaching its students not only about globalization but also how to understand emerging economies.

Rosensweig took the audience on a “global tour of the economy” focusing on economic development across the globe and emerging markets. His talk included digestible information on accumulated economic growth of frontier economies such as Angola and Nigeria and positive signs for the US economy, including the recent economic report showing US exports reaching record highs.

He emphasized Atlanta’s position as a global hub and Goizueta’s long history of integrating global perspectives into course offerings. He credited former CEO and Goizueta namesake, Roberto C. Goizueta as identifying the need for the school’s Global Perspectives Program, over 20 years ago, when few, if any, other business schools offered similar programs.
