Over 25 cities across the globe will host events in honor of Big Data Week, a global festival that connects communities of data scientists, data visualizers, businesses and technologies. Several events are planned throughout Atlanta.  Emory University’s Goizueta Business School Professors David Schweidel, associate professor of marketing, and Manish Tripathi, assistant professor of marketing, will serve as keynote speakers for “Power in Numbers: Growing Atlanta’s Data Science Talent,” on April 25th, 6:30 p.m., at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Conference Center.

Schweidel and Tripathi, will discuss ways to expand Atlanta’s local data science talent. Presentations will focus on how individuals can attain data science skills and how businesses can support this growth.

The event is hosted by Data Science ATL, a meeting of over 400 current and aspiring data scientists, interested in the exploration and practical application of data analysis.
