Goizueta Advantage -- Jill Perry-Smith
Emory University's Goizueta Business School gives students a world-view that includes global perspective and understanding. Professor Jill Perry-Smith talks about global perspective in her classroom on GoizuetaAdvantage.com.

“The most important way the school has helped achieve a global perspective is making sure the student body reflects different parts of the world,” says Jill Perry-Smith, Associate Professor of Organization and Management.

Perry-Smith joined the Goizueta Business School faculty after completing her Ph.D. in management in the College of Management at Georgia Tech. Her areas of specialization include the effects of informal social networks on creativity and the impact of work-life initiatives on firm and individual performance.

She said by having various perspectives in the class room, professors can lead conversations that cross cultures and allow students to understand how certain events would play out depending on the location around the globe.
