Atlanta, GA – July 7, 2023 – Emory University’s Goizueta Business School today announced the launch of its new Master in Management program, designed specifically for graduates with a non-business major who are looking to level up their undergraduate degree with business knowledge and skills. Guided by experienced professors who are experts in their respective fields, students complete the Master in Management program in just ten months, providing a fast-track option for students to gain a valuable business education and expand their career options.

“The Master in Management program offers an innovative and flexible curriculum that equips recent graduates with the tools they need to leverage their passions and launch their careers,” shares Andrea Hershatter, Senior Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education at Goizueta. “It bridges the gap between an undergraduate degree in liberal arts, science, or engineering and the skills needed to thrive in a business environment.”

In the first semester, students learn about the fundamental areas of business, including finance, accounting, marketing, and management, while acquiring professional development skills and organizational capacities. In the second semester, electives provide flexibility for students to tailor learning experiences to specific interests. The culmination of the curriculum is a hands-on immersive elective that allows students to work on a project of their choosing and apply their new knowledge in a real-world setting. The program also provides comprehensive support for career development, including competency assessments, one-on-one career coaching, interview preparation, and recruiter outreach.

Atlanta serves as the perfect launchpad for Master in Management graduates. With its vibrant tech scene, entrepreneurial ecosystem, and numerous Fortune 500 companies, the city offers abundant opportunities for launching a successful career. Consistently ranked among the top 20 business schools by U.S. News & World Report, Goizueta offers a unique, community-oriented environment paired with the academic prestige and rigor of a major research institution.

“The Master in Management program opens up a world of possibilities for recent graduates,” says Gareth James, John H. Harland Dean of Goizueta. “The combination of an undergraduate degree in liberal arts, science or engineering and this specialized business degree prepares students to excel across industries. The demand for management professionals in the southeast region is projected to grow significantly. Our program positions graduates to seize these opportunities, as well as explore careers worldwide.”

Applications for the Master in Management program open August 1, 2023.
