ATLANTA, October 15, 2020 – Starting in spring 2021, “non–degree seeking” healthcare professionals and executives can participate in the Goizueta Business School’s (GBS) Executive MBA elective healthcare courses, culminating in a Business of Healthcare Certificate.

For the first time, participants can enroll in Executive Education and Executive MBA programs for credit-bearing courses, while learning and networking with current GBS Executive MBA students.

“We want to be career-long learning partners with individuals, meeting their needs for both degree-based learning and shorter format executive development opportunities,” said Goizueta Business School Chief Corporate Learning Officer Nicola Barrett.

“By participating in the Business of Healthcare electives through Goizueta Executive Education, participants can both broaden and deepen their knowledge and skills and take the first step towards a master’s degree. For those unable to commit the time or resources to seek an Executive MBA, this provides a more manageable ‘first step.’”

The Business of Healthcare Certificate examines the best industry systems and tools used to manage businesses and reframes them for the healthcare sector. The certificate is designed for seasoned personnel and focuses on key issues facing U.S. healthcare.

“This format will afford opportunities for the non-degree participants and degree-seeking students to share ideas and learn the business of healthcare in a collaborative experience,” says Goizueta’s Associate Dean of Executive MBA Jackie Conner. “Bringing these groups together will enhance the classroom conversations and learning outcomes.”

Non-degree seeking students who later apply to Goizueta’s Executive MBA program will have credits from these courses applied to their degree.
