Established by Jagdish and Madhu Sheth, the new scholarship recognizes exceptional BBA students whose leadership, achievement, and ambition signal future impact in business and society.
Goizueta Business School is proud to recognize the first recipients of the Professor Jagdish N. Sheth Scholarship, a new award established through the generosity of Charles H. Kellstadt Chaired Professor of Business Jagdish N. Sheth and his wife, Madhu Sheth.
Created to recognize exceptional undergraduate business students in Goizueta’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program, the scholarship supports juniors and seniors who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, leadership, meaningful involvement in the Emory community, and strong potential for future impact in business and society.
The scholarship reflects Professor Sheth’s longstanding commitment to student success and leadership development. One of the most influential scholars in the field of marketing and a beloved member of the Goizueta community for more than three decades, Professor Sheth has dedicated much of his career to helping students pursue ambitious goals and make meaningful contributions in their professions and communities.
“This scholarship is about rewarding students who consistently go above and beyond—those who pair academic excellence with curiosity, initiative, and ambition,” says Professor Sheth. “By supporting juniors and seniors in Goizueta’s undergraduate BBA program, I hope to give them the freedom and resources to dream big and pursue bold endeavors that will define their educational journey and future leadership.”
Selection for the scholarship program is based on demonstrated excellence in the classroom and beyond. Candidates are evaluated on academic performance, leadership experience, community engagement, professional development, and personal qualities that indicate strong potential for future success. Applicants submit a resume, cover letter, and letters of recommendation as part of a competitive selection process.
