The MBA12 Goizueta Innovators team recently placed in The MBA Innovation Challenge.

Sponsored by the Idea Crossing Inc., more than 100 MBA teams from across the country competed online in three innovation challenge categories: social innovation, marketing and business development.

The Goizueta team: Ji Liu, Shobit Arora, Matt Long, Dan Schoelles and Peden Young bested teams from California-Berkley, NYU, Michigan and Rice in the semifinals and took first place in the social innovation category (third place overall).

The team designed financial and organizational strategies to spur entrepreneurial risk taking in the global agricultural biotechnology industry; they won by putting forward an innovative and practical proposal in a well-designed presentation.
