Six doctoral students at Goizueta Business School have been named 2026 Sheth Fellows, continuing a tradition of support for emerging scholars across disciplines.
For doctoral students, the pursuit of a PhD demands proverbial blood, sweat, and tears; in academia, that translates to deep focus, intellectual rigor, and a long-term commitment to scholarship. It can also bring significant financial strain. That challenge is part of what inspired Charles H. Kellstadt Chaired Professor of Business Jagdish Sheth to establish the Sheth Fellowship in 2008. As a doctoral student himself many moons ago, a modest grant from the University of Pittsburgh helped him complete his dissertation on time—an experience that stayed with him and later shaped his desire to support future scholars at Goizueta. To date, these funds have helped more than 120 students pursue their PhD in one of Goizueta’s programs.
Made possible through the generosity of Professor Jagdish Sheth and his wife, Mrs. Madhuri Sheth, the fellowship helps doctoral students devote more of their time and energy to research, teaching, and academic development. Their support reflects an enduring commitment to investing in scholars whose work will shape business education and knowledge for years to come.

“When I was a doctoral student, even modest financial support made a meaningful difference in my ability to complete my work,” says Sheth. “It is a privilege and a blessing to have the opportunity to pass that on to other scholars, who multiply the value of this gift many times over in what they give back to the world through their intellect and research.”
This year, Goizueta Business School is proud to recognize the 2026 Sheth Fellows:
- Jada Childs, Marketing
- Stanley Wang, Marketing
- Tamera Shaw, Organization and Management
- Raigan Priest, Organization and Management
- Robinson Garces Marin, Organization and Management
- Ajay Shah, Organization and Management
The 2026 fellows represent the strength of Goizueta’s doctoral community and the school’s continued investment in supporting exceptional scholars across its PhD programs. As they advance their research and prepare for careers in academia, the Sheth Fellowship helps create the space to pursue ambitious ideas with greater freedom and focus.
Goizueta will also recognize this year’s honorees at the annual Sheth Fellows Reception this spring, held in honor of the newly named fellows and in recognition of Professor Jagdish and Mrs. Madhuri Sheth for their generosity in supporting doctoral education.
