For many, the anticipation and excited for Black Friday starts as early as the preparation for Thanksgiving. Traditionally, November signals the start of holiday shopping, and Black Friday sales serve as a signifier of economic conditions. Emory University’s Doug Bowman, Goizueta Business School professor of marketing, spoke to NBC News about retailers’ planning and what shoppers should expect for Black Friday sales.
