For the second year, MEMBA students are traveling to San Francisco this week as part of an immersion experience at Goizueta.

The challenges of global business go well beyond language barriers. To create lasting, authentic partnerships, one must embrace culture, history, and societal norms.

Proper exposure to international business requires multiple lenses. Yet one resource sometimes overlooked is the international elements across the university. Goizueta’s Dean Erika James, with an eye toward collaboration, has challenged the school to create more opportunities to prepare for international immersion and partner across campus.

At the end of spring semester, the halls of Goizueta were abuzz when nearly 300 business executives from a multitude of Fortune 500, mid-size, entrepreneurial and nonprofit organizations came to campus for Goizueta’s IMPACT Showcase Day.

Using rigorous methodologies, Goizueta faculty focus on researching important problems that affect the practice of business. The following is a sample of recently created new knowledge.

Business education has been an integral part of Emory University’s identity since 1919. As Goizueta’s 100th anniversary approaches, Dean Erika James has selected one of the school’s most recognized and active staff members to lead the birthday effort.

From a craft whiskey distillery to a security firm for the blockchain ecosystem, Goizueta students with an entrepreneurial bent have been pitching their start-up ideas to professors since the start of the school year.

Senior Lecturer in Organization & Management and Distinguished Lecturer in Entrepreneurship Charlie Goetz landed on the 2018 CNBC Disruptor 50 list.

When passersby recently walked through Patterson Green, it was hard to miss two unusual items resting on the lawn. Two lavish Mercedes vehicles visited Goizueta caused onlookers to slow their step and snap a few photos. While the cars added a unique touch to the green, they were actually serving a larger purpose.

For 10 weeks, 11 startups brainstormed, collaborated and executed during the first ever Emory Startup Launch accelerator program.

For the first time ever, 16 students, drawn from the BBA program as well as from arts majors in Emory College, had the opportunity to attend an Arts Management Trek in New York City.

Named for and endowed by former Coca-Cola President and COO Donald Keough, the Donald R. Keough Award for Excellence is the school’s highest service award and recognizes extraordinary contributions by faculty and staff.
