Eighteen students in Goizueta’s Social Enterprise class departed Atlanta to go on an incredible cultural and educational journey through Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.

The sixth semi-annual RAISE (Retention and Advanced Investment for the Southeast at Emory) Forum, presented by Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, is now accepting applicants. The unique event, set for Friday, May 11 at Emory, brings together startups and investors from across the Southeast with the goal of closing the region’s funding gap at higher levels of funding.

Starting and maintaining a business is no easy task. Several Emory alumni know this firsthand, which is why the Emory Entrepreneur Network in conjunction with the Emory Alumni Association recently recognized 25 entrepreneurs and Emory alumni during the second annual 2017 Emory Entrepreneur Awards.

A mechanism to connect people who have deep experience and insights into entrepreneurship has arrived at the Goizueta Business School, another resource for students looking to start companies.

The entrepreneur spirit is alive and well in the Emory community. This was evident at the most recent Emory Entrepreneur Network panel discussion, which featured Goizueta’s Start:ME Accelerator Program, a 14-week business training program for local small businesses.

The Start:ME Accelerator has selected 49 promising small businesses in the Clarkston, East Lake and Southside communities for its 2018 cohorts.
