A select group of Emory MBA and BBA students celebrated their last day of classes with a final project presented to representatives from the Atlanta Hawks, Falcons and Braves.

When passersby recently walked through Patterson Green, it was hard to miss two unusual items resting on the lawn. Two lavish Mercedes vehicles visited Goizueta caused onlookers to slow their step and snap a few photos. While the cars added a unique touch to the green, they were actually serving a larger purpose.

Real-world learning is one of the key components that make up many teaching environments at Goizueta. No matter the program, each professor tries to add an experiential learning element into their teaching process, including Reshma Shah, associate professor in the Practice of Marketing.

For the first time ever, 16 students, drawn from the BBA program as well as from arts majors in Emory College, had the opportunity to attend an Arts Management Trek in New York City.

As always, a key highlight of the fourth annual Emory Entrepreneurship Summit was hearing from alumni who had stated their own ventures. This year’s entrepreneurial spotlights were all BBA graduate, returning to campus to share their stories and words of advice with eager students looking to potentially start their own entrepreneurial journeys.

Students interested in Goizueta’s Evening MBA program were invited to come and hear Senior Lecturer in Organization & Management and Distinguished Lecturer in Entrepreneurship Charlie Goetz as well as alum Sherezad Rehmann 15EvMBA speak during a fireside chat.

Last week I attended the Undergraduate Business School Leadership Conference alongside students from across the world.

A mechanism to connect people who have deep experience and insights into entrepreneurship has arrived at the Goizueta Business School, another resource for students looking to start companies.

Goizueta is again a leader among job placements three-months post-graduation, with 94 percent of graduates landing offers. "It’s definitely a strong market,” said Maureen Manion-Leone, interim director of the Career Management Center. “We have more employers who come to visit than we have students."

Angela Fusaro 01C 17WEMBA doesn’t sleep much. “Do I need sleep? I'll be very honest, I don't,” Fusaro said with a smile during the most recent meeting of the Emory Entrepreneur Breakfast Series. “It's like one of my superpowers. I don't sleep a lot at night, but I don't like to sleep."

By multiple measures and rankings, career success remains a hallmark of the Goizueta MBA experience.
